At work the first Friday of every month we get FREE LUNCH. Pretty nice, right?
NO ONE ON MY TEAM APPRECIATED IT TODAY! We got YUMMY Indian Food and the comments were:
"It all looks scary."
"I will try the chicken - it looks the least scary."
"I can just hear it tonight, 'Honey what did you have for lunch today? umm, bread.' that stuff was gross."
"I tried to eat it..." (someone with a totally clean plate - no sauce anywhere)
I should have known as this is the group that thought the chicken wings we had at our pot-luck were 'spicy'. Ummm, the recipe was ketchup, brown sugar, and worstercestire(sp?) sauce - the person who made them said!
Go forth and ENJOY food without discrimination!!! ;)

Amen. People need to grow up and stop being babies about food.
I've never had Indian food but I'd be willing to try it. I had Afghanistan food once and that was fantastic.
If I could only get my grandson to try new foods - I'd be happy. He thinks McD's chicken nuggets are gourmet foods - which reminds me - I have to slap his mother!
I used to work for a guy like that. He'd go to industry confabs where they'd serve Persian or Indian food and spend the rest of the day bitching about why they couldn't just have "normal" food. Big baby.
leave it to the minnesotans to complain about a free meal... ;)
Angie - SOOO True. It's like when they tink you are doing something weird and say "That's different!", but I am guilty of using that one too. Just to be polite, doncha' know?
Themom, I know what you are talking about. I always laugh when my friends say things like, "how do you get Boo Boo to eat/drink (blah)?" my answer is always, ummm - I give it to her?
People are so ungrateful! It gets on my last nerve. The breakfast I provided came out of my own hard earned money the least you can do is be grateful or just shut the hell up.
This is my last time doing anything for these idiots.
