My college girlfriends and I get together from time to time for holiday parties, happy hours, bbq's...
One sleep deprived winter we decided to reserve a room at a local restaurant because no one could get it together to have a holiday party in their home.
An elegant restaurant was selected.
The guests were invited.
Babysitters booked - or husband's roped into giving Saturday bath's and putting the kids to bed.
Awaitng the table I have a lovely glass of Spanish white at the ever-so-hip dimly lit bar.
We are seated and well, it's a tapas restaurant, but not everyone is into the type of food that they serve. I can't listen to the conversation because I will eat anything. You ladies just order.
It's cool.
I order more wine.
I drink more wine.
I begin to think to myself. "Self, this is a pretty cool wine glass. Seems like it might hold half a bottle or so...hmmm. Self, I would love to have this glass."
I order more wine.
I slip a glass into my massive tote bag/mommy purse.
The waiter brings me my new glass of lovely Spanish white and I drink it.

I concur. A set is needed.
But don't get caught acquiring them.
I am pretty sure I have one of those glasses too. Except I don't have a mommy bag so I ended up wrapping my coat around it and braving the 20 degree MN weather in a cardi-set. Wine is good.
PS: I am glad I found this blog so I can chuckle my day away!

You steal wine glasses, I steal pint glasses. We make a good pair!
Ha I love it. I would go back there once a week until I had a whole set. This reminded me that once I stole a salt and pepper shaker set from a Mexican restaurant that was made from Coronita bottles.

That's awesome. Sometimes a wine glass is just calling your name.
I went to a Christmas party for my friend's work last December and we were one of the last ones to leave. My friend and I really liked the centerpeices so we snagged the ones on our table.
I love those big wine glasses! I may just love them too much...
Love it! Wine is a wonderful thing and if you had found a magical glass than by all means take it!!!
Awesome!! My husband does this from time to time to add to his beer glass collection. Sneaky. Every time you drink from it the night's memories are relived!! Way to go, sista.
